The Long Run
04:07
|
|||
Stay with me just a little bit more
And I think I'll faint down on the floor
We sit around in this room on our own
I need to run and to do it alone
Cause I've got wolves howling at my door
And they've got claws scratching out for more
I need to find a new place to sleep
Or I'd rather sleep no more
Will you step aside and let me cut my teeth?
Or are we just gonna wait until the last light dulls?
It's the long run I've been seeking
Peace requires physical labour
We've been dormant for too long oh my, oh my

Back Door Hero
03:32
|
|||
As far as I can tell, all my life has been quite fair
From the soil under my feet to the pollen in the air
But would you come along with me if I asked cordially?
I've been always taught to smile, to shake hands and to say hi
To simulate concern then turn my back and say goodbye
Would you come along with me if I asked cordially?
I don't always wear a cape, I can barely stand mankind
And I need no greater power than be a hero in your eyes
So would you come along with me if I asked cordially?
Cause my dreams live above the clouds
And my lungs breathe above the clouds
And my head drifts above the clouds
And my heart beats above the clouds
Does this world have any back door?

To Young Knights
04:14
|
|||
On the run we're driving in the light across the black and white
Our hearts were moulded for the fight but silenced bu the night
We find ourselves more miserable with every dream that's growing out of sight
Cause we are young but we're not free
We cauterize our wounds just not to bleed
But still we plead with our enemies to find a cure for this
Think of us as quietly gathered knights who somehow lost their might
We spin around like broken satellites dancing in the bright
We find ourselves less capable of telling wrong apart from what is right

Butterfly
03:02
|
|||
There was a field in my hometown
Where we always played hand in hand
The wind was gently touching the grass
We were so young, so fearless
Then I dreamt over and over
Of you holding me tight under the stars
I made a promise to my dear lord
I will love you forever
Time has passed, so much had changed
But the field remains in my heart
Oh where are you? I need to tell you I still love you
So I reach out for you
You fly around me like a butterfly
There was a field in my hometown
Where in spring all flowers blossomed wide
We were chasing butterflies
Hand in hand til close of day

About Time
04:07
|
|||
If I could turn back time I would not make a fool
Of all the strings that tie my destiny to you
Maybe I'm just wasting time writing these songs to you
But my heart is on the line with each note I run into
I'm losing touch with what is real as I'm caught by the curves on your lips
But I hope I'll never lose the track of the path that climbs up your hips
Shake it off now, shake it off my back
All the dirty little thoughts that float around my head
Trying not to feel ashamed of all the things I'd like to do to you

Burn the Town
03:26
|
|||
Drawings of everything we've lost
They keep falling from the wall
And now they pave the streets we walk
Just so we carry on
Can't you see what I've been seeing?
Ghosts along the boulevard
Hand in hand we meet our mission
Torches up into the night
We tried to burn the town but the fire has gone missing
Like the ones we swore would forever stay in our hearts
Hoods up, we congregate at dawn
Our eyes sing the saddest songs
Tonight we take our secrets off
And leave them at the door

Our Free Fall
03:06
|
|||
If from your mouth came out tree branches instead of lies
I would hang on them preventing me from falling down
Looking for a better handhold we grasp at the things we've lost
Things we hated and depricated
You keep inside what you can't toss
Self-serving our own needs we charged the others with a crime
That has been our excuse, an everlasting alibi
If only we could loose our grip and float into the unknown
We really would be honest
In our free fall

Red Foxes
05:28
|
|||
Ceiling cracks like constellations
They revolve and shine above my head
I recall our conversations
Most of all the ones we'll never have
About what we could have been
Every crack maps out a station
But our trains they are no longer there
Still I wait with hesitation
As I toss and turn inside my bed
Thinking of what we coud have been
After years I now realize what red foxes mean
Haunting dreams in which you're here only to rescue me
Because some nights are made of mistakes and getaways
And some nights we're missing all we could have been

Bricks and Stones
04:08
|
|||
So I went out for a while, walked for about seven miles
All the cars along the track looked like many cadillacs
Do you see the same things too?
All the shit we've been through means more than each of these tunes
And I swear it's not a lie, I still need you by my side
Do you feel the same way too?
It's all in the bricks and stones of this city that we loathe
All over these streets and squares there's the scent of what we love
Will they still carry our names, our foolish fancies of fame?
Cause despite all awful things back here we'll always be kings
Dusting off our shoes anew

Berlin Underground
04:06
|
|||
My heart was born under the snow somewhere on the Royal Mile
Never thought I would have buried it in the summery nights of the Stockholm streets
Some days we just watch time pass by the emptiness of our lives
And some days we regain a reason to love with a smile in the Berlin Underground
Remember me in the eyes of strangers sitting right in front of you
Can you hear my beat in drums that once were pulse to these facant rooms?
I lay me down but I get no rest, please head north to a safest nest
Will you set me free from memories holding me down like anchors do into the blue?
I don't remember you, I would see a stranger if you sat in front of me
I can't hear your beat amongst the traffic noises and crowded rooms
I lay me down but I get no rest, please head north to a safest nest
I won't set you free, just weigh your anchor and set sail away from here in the open see
Our bodies dance at the speed of tunnel lights
